Hey! How are you? I am doing good on this side. I am free from my exams nowadays, so I am reading about the conflicts around the world. I am going to tell you about Ukraine and Russia’s war in this letter.
Russia and Ukraine’s conflict has been in the news in recent times. It will come as a shock to many people that they were under a common flag of the USSR, not even 50 years ago. The conflict between the nations started in 2014. It has reached a peak in the last year, that is 2022. In 2022, Russian militia invaded the territory of Ukraine.
This happened as a response to the growing ties between Ukraine and US and Ukraine’s wish to join NATO. This war has created the second-biggest refugee crisis in the world. Even the citizens of Russia protested against this invasion, but they were held back. Russia is still at war with Ukraine.
