I hope this letter finds you and your family in the best of health. I am also doing well on this side. I am going to tell you about the pollution in the sacred river Ganga.
Before I tell you about the pollution, let me tell you something about Holy Ganga. Ganga or Ganga Mother is not only a river flowing through India, but the importance of the river in Hinduism is equal to that of an entity. Ganga water can purify the soul and lead the dead to rest. But it has been heavily polluted through the years. Waste from humans and animals as well as waste from industries have severely harmed the holy river. The water that is taken out for agriculture also affects the water. It is high time that the high level of pollution in Holy Ganga should be controlled.
