Dear Naina,
I hope you and your family are in good health and are happy. Everything that got closed due to the COVID pandemic lockdown is finally slowly opening up, and we hope we will have the pre-COVID times soon. Even in these difficult times, the BCCI managed to hold the 2020 IPL with strict restrictions.
This decision has made all IPL lovers happy, as most people are going through bad times now. This season, the Mumbai Indians were crowned champions for the second time in a row. Unfortunately, the Delhi Capitals couldn’t win their first title. This season, they finished as runners-up. This IPL was conducted not in India but in another country, the UAE.
The audience gallery was empty, as they weren’t allowed inside the stadium due to COVID. Everybody adjusted to their TV screens at home to watch the match. This season demonstrated that, even in difficult times, the spirit of cricket and all other sports will not fade.
