Bihar is situated in the North-east part of India. It is at the eleventh position in India if seen area wise. In the north of Bihar, there is Nepal. In the south of Bihar, Jharkhand is situated. In the east of Bihar, West Bengal is situated and in the west, it shares its border with Uttar Pradesh.

Patna is the capital of Bihar. It was built by Ajatashatru. Patna was earlier known as Patliputra. The Ganga is the longest and the largest river in Bihar. There are 38 districts in Bihar.

Bihar is also the third largest populous state in India. In this state, Hindi is the official language. Bodhi tree is the state emblem of Bihar. This state is known for its cultural beauty and vast history. Its construction started a small fortress but later it became the kingdom of Magdha which spread till Afghanistan.
