Subject: Application for paternity leave
Madam,
I, Anurag Kashyap, Assistant Professor in the Department, am glad to inform you that my wife is due to deliver our child by the end of this month. As we do not live with either of our parents, I will be staying back to look after her. She is facing some complications and so the due date may get postponed. In case of extension of the leave days, I will inform the Department beforehand.
I would like to avail the paternity leave for more than two months from October 28th to December 31st. The remaining topics in my undergraduate classes will be taught by the Guest Lecturer, Anand Kumar. I request you to kindly approve my leave at the earliest.
