Good Morning everyone, Today I am going to share my views on the topic “Illiteracy. “
Illiteracy can be defined as the inability of a person to read and write. It is due to lack of education, inspite of advancement in the education policies there are still many people who are unable to get proper education and are illiterate. There are various causes of illiteracy but the leading cause is uneducated parents. If the parents are illiterate they pay very little attention to their children’s education thus resulting in an increase in illiteracy. Other causes are inability to resources, poverty and it is also caused by gender inequality in our country. Boy’s education is more preferred as compared to girls.
Illiteracy affects the social life of an individual. Illiteracy causes an increase in the poverty and crime rates in the country. The life of an illiterate person is very challenging as it is difficult for them to survive in this evolving phase due to lack of information and skills.
