Good morning to everyone in this room. I would like to thank the principal, the teachers, and my dear friends for allowing me to speak to you today about medicine. The study of health and healing is known as medicine. Nurses, physicians, and a range of experts are included. It involves medical research, illness diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, among many other facets of health.
The goal of medicine is to preserve and advance good health. Allopathic medicine is another name for conventional contemporary medicine. It entails the use of medication or surgery, frequently accompanied by counseling and dietary changes. Acupuncture, homeopathy, herbal medicine, art therapy, traditional Chinese medicine, and several more practices fall under the category of supplementary and alternative medicine.
In clinical practice, a person is evaluated by a clinician to identify, manage and avoiding disease. In a hospital or other healthcare facility, a clinician is a healthcare professional who deals directly with patients.
Because they don’t deal with patients, researchers and lab staff are not clinicians. Instruments used to identify and cure diseases and other conditions are known as medical gadgets. Traditional wisdom rather than empirical research or clinical trials is frequently the foundation of complementary and alternative medicines.
Homeopathy, acupuncture, ayurveda, naturopathic medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine are a few more types of medical procedures. Clinical trials seek to determine if a therapy, frequently a medicine, is both safe and effective to employ in the treatment of a certain ailment. Thank you.
