A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of ‘Unity in Diversity’.
Wikipedia defines the phrase ‘Unity in Diversity’ as follows: “Unity in diversity is used as an expression of harmony and unity between dissimilar individuals or groups.”
With about 8 billion diverse people in the world, unity in diversity thus becomes an important ideology meant to be upheld by all individuals across the globe to maintain peace and harmony!
How can we practice this? By putting aside our personal biases and prejudices, of course! It is integral to understand that despite our diversity in our gender, race, class, caste, creed, religion, nationality, language, and physical differences in appearance, at the base level, we are all human beings. In that sense, we are all equal.
If this basic understanding were to be practised by all, we will all be united and not be engaged in meaningless wars! Let us all be united in diversity!
