A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a short speech on the topic of the importance of life.
Google defines the term life to be “the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death.” Life thus means to live and be alive- to exist as opposed to non-living things.
Life is thus something precious and ought to be cherished. It allows humans, and even animals, to take in the joys of nature and experience emotions that are unique to human beings- happiness, sadness, anger, humour, kindness, ambition, courage, and even envy and hatred. Life allows us to soak in the vibrancy the world has to offer.
In addition to life being important in itself, the kind of life we live lead is equally important. In addition to being filled with joy and contentment, it should be moral and ethical, devoid of negativity.
