A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of politics.
Google defines the term ‘politics’ to be “the activities associated with the governance of a country or area, especially the debate between parties having power.” Wikipedia, on the other hand, defines it as “the set of activities that are associated with making decisions in groups, or other forms of power relations among individuals, such as the distribution of resources or status.”
Politics thus concerns acts that are both to run a government and also to wield power to make decisions in individual groups and associations. In this sense, politics is something that is present everywhere, both at macro and micro levels.
A whole field of social studies has been dedicated to the field of politics, termed political science. This field of study is gaining a lot of popularity today with more and more youngsters actively taking part in politics and wanting to pursue the same.
