A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of my favourite book.
As an avid bookworm myself, picking one single favourite book was an extremely difficult task! After all, Kevin Spacey had said, “What’s my favourite book? It changes all the time.”
Indeed, selecting one book out of the many I’ve read and marking it as my ‘favourite book’ is a daunting task. So, allow me to pick one from each of the genres I like.
Firstly, one of my favourite genres is mythology. Rick Riordan’s ‘Percy Jackson’ series is my most favourite. With its light language, it brings out Greek myths in the most enjoyable manner.
Next would be the genre of crime, or rather, detective fiction. Agatha Christie’s ‘Murder of Roger Ackroyd’ is my favourite here. It is an absolute masterpiece! In classics, my favourite would easily be ‘Pride and Prejudice’, of course.
