Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends. A wonderful morning to all of you. Today on this special occasion, I would like to speak some words on the topic- Depression.
Mental health is a term that is quite in vogue these days. It refers to the health of a person’s mind. It is as important as physical health, because no human being can function without a healthy mental state. Depression is perhaps the condition that affects mental health the most.
Often associated with an overwhelming feeling of sadness, depression is a clinical disorder that can hamper a person’s entire life by disturbing their mental health. It makes people lethargic and melancholy, and does not allow them to go about their daily lives in a normal manner. However, depression is nothing to be ashamed of, and people must seek help to treat it properly.
To conclude, we must always take care of our mental health! Thank you for listening to me so attentively.
