Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends. A wonderful morning to all of you. Today on this special occasion, I would like to speak some words on the topic- Save Water.
Seventy-one percent of the earth is covered by water. It is one of the most essential things that allows life on planet earth. Without water, earth would just be a barren lifeless planet. However, humans have taken this invaluable resource for granted- wasting and polluting water and making it unfit for consumption.
With the rise of industrialisation and urbanisation, the quality of water has deteriorated rapidly. Pollution and carelessness have both led to this dire situation. If we do not take proper care of our water resources, it will ultimately lead to the end of the human race, since water is a basic necessity for survival.
Therefore, “save water” is a motto that all of us must always remember! Thank you for listening to me so attentively.
