Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends, a wonderful morning to all of you. Today on this special occasion, I would like to speak some words on the topic- Co-education.
Co-education refers to the education of boys and girls together, in the same place. It is in opposition to the practice of setting up schools and colleges separately for the two genders. Separate schooling for the genders used to be the norm for a long time. But these days, co-education has become more and more common owing to its various benefits.
Educating boys and girls in the same space allows them to be exposed to the same kind of education and knowledge, promoting equality and reducing gender-based discrimination. It also allows boys and girls to understand each other better.
To conclude, co-education is indeed a system with many merits! Thank you for listening to me so attentively.
