Subject: Navratri Celebration at our School
Dear Rima,
Take my love and affection. I hope you are hale and hearty by the grace of God. I’m also well by his blessings. In my last letter I told you that our school was going to celebrate Navratri this year. It finally happened last week! So today, I want to tell you all about the Navratri celebration at our school! Our school has been planning to hold their first Navratri celebration for a while now, since Navratri is such an important festival in India.
So, preparations from the Navratri celebrations this year had been going on for months. Every student and teacher worked really hard to organise and pull off this wonderful celebration. The most important part of the celebration was of course the Ramlila play, for which the students have been practising for months. The teachers directed the play, while the students did an amazing job acting it out.
The entire school broke out in applause when the play ended. An effigy of Ravana was created for the end of the play, and it was a joyous moment when Ram’s flaming arrow set it up in flames! Cheers rang through the school playground as the effigy of Ravana went up in flames, signifying the triumph of good over evil! The Navratri celebration at our school was truly a memorable event and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
That’s all for today. Take care of your health and write to me whenever you have some time! I hope we can meet up soon!
Regards,
Leela D
