Subject: A Festival I Celebrated- Dashain
Dear Rima,
Take my love and affection. I hope you are hale and hearty by the grace of God. I�m also well by his blessings. In your last letter you asked me if I had celebrated any festival recently. I actually just celebrated Dashain in the month of October. So, today I want to tell you all about the Dashain festival and how I spent it!
Dashain is a wonderful festival full of happiness and cultural heritage. It honours the goddess Durga and her strength and benevolence. The fifteen day long festival is full of joy, fun, splendour and pompous celebrations. All my relatives came together to spend Dashain as a big happy family.
I got to see my beloved cousins and play with them. All our family members decorated our home beautifully for the festivities! I was also super excited for all the delicious food that came with the festival. I finally got to wear all the new clothes that my family members gifted me as well! Kite flying was probably one of my favorite things about Dashain since I loved flying kites with all my friends and cousins!
I loved spending the Dashain festival surrounded by the love and warmth of my family and friends. I hope the next Dashain festival will be a memorable one as well. Do tell me about what festivals you have celebrated recently as well!
