Subject– The importance of planting trees.
Dear Rekha,
Hello. How are you? I hope this email finds you well. I write to you regarding a very important issue. A very grim issue of deforestation is quickly gripping our world. In order to combat deforestation it is very important to start planting trees. Planting trees has many environmental benefits. Trees not only beautify the land and provide shade but they also provide oxygen.
Oxygen is the very basic need of all living organisms and trees give out life for free. Planting trees also helps in preventing floods as the roots of these trees tightly hold together the soil, they also prevent soil erosion. They serve as habitats for a wide variety of animal and plant species. You can breathe easier thanks to trees. Urban locations with tree views have been shown to have lower levels of stress and anxiety.
Planting trees can be a therapeutic experience, it connects one with nature. Since trees can last for hundreds of years, planting one is like giving your children and grandchildren a present. It serves as a lasting reminder of your dedication to the environment and the natural beauty of the world around you. We must realise now that we share this planet with other living organisms too, and we are damaging it and endangering many species. It is time to take some action and right our wrongs.
I cordially invite you to join our initiative to plant 500 saplings. I hope you accept my invitation. I look forward to hearing from you soon. I will soon share more details.
Yours lovingly,
Hema U
