Subject– My visit to the Global Village.
Dear Sameer,
Hey. How are you doing? I hope this email finds you healthy and happy. This winter break I visited Dubai. Dubai has a festival called Global Village. It is very amazing. There are pavilions alloted to different countries and each pavilion has something unique and special. They sell goods and even the architecture is in accordance with the nation and its heritage.
It is absolutely beautiful to witness such great diversity in one space. The area is huge and spreads across a great length. The tickets are very affordable and I went with my cousins. Be prepared to walk a lot as there are no vehicles allowed inside. The Global Village is annual and begins towards the end of the year for a few months. The first pavilion I visited was Saudi Arabia.
Here, they were selling abayas, dates and honey along with some other goods. Next, I went to Pakistan. It was the most crowded pavilion and everyone was buying clothes. It goes without saying that they were selling designer clothes along with some beautiful jewellery. The food stands inside were selling Pakistani street food and there was this particular stand that sold bun kababs.
They are veg kabas and honestly speaking, the best I have ever had. I also visited the Indian pavilion and it was so very beautiful. They were selling kashmiri carpets and I bought one. The Indian pavilion had the best biryani ever. There were also many dance and song performances and just the day before I visited, Atif Aslam had performed there. The entire experience was excellent. The architecture and decor was gorgeous.
