Subject– Global Citizen Festival 2016.
Dear Farhan,
Hi. How are you doing? I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to you about the Global Citizen Festival 2016. The Global Citizen Festival India is a celebration of what India has already accomplished, but it also serves as a catalyst for mass behavioural change among Indian youth and a call to action for our leaders to do more to promote inclusive and sustainable growth.
The inaugural Global Citizen Festival India was held on Saturday, November 19, at the MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex. Thousands of Global Citizens, business and political leaders from around the world, non-profit groups, socially engaged artists, and others came together to jumpstart India’s progress toward reaching the Sustainable Development Goals.
A Swachh Bharat could be created within a generation, according to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who spoke to the Global Citizens via video link and praised everyone for their extraordinary enthusiasm and idealism. Speaking to Global Citizens, Sachin Tendulkar emphasised the duty that each of them bears as advocates for issues related to water, sanitation, and hygiene. The goal of the Global Citizen India movement is to ignite India’s 15-year quest to end extreme poverty.
Don’t you think this is an ingenious way to unite everyone for growth and development? What are your thoughts about this? Write to me soon.
Yours lovingly,
Asha U
