Subject– My school’s prize distribution ceremony.

Dear Sameer,

Hello. How are you my dearest cousin? I hope this email finds you healthy and happy. By God’s grace I am also well.

I am so excited to share this news with you! Last week my school hosted a prize distribution ceremony and I also received a prize. This was a ceremony for academic accomplishments for the previous year. I had received my letter a week before the ceremony, it was an official invitation to my parents to attend the ceremony.

I won a prize for scoring the highest in Social Studies in my entire grade. I was ecstatic and mom and dad came to the ceremony. It was such a grand event. There was a red carpet on the gate for the chief guests and a band welcomed them. The chief guest was an alumnus of our school who is now a distinguished lawyer. The ceremony began with lighting the lamp and a small prayer. Then the principal gave an encouraging speech and congratulated all the achievers.

She also encouraged those sitting in the audience to work harder and inspired them with kind words. Then the chief guest was introduced and he gave a speech. He talked about his time in the school, his words were kind and humorous. After his speech the distribution ceremony began and I received a certificate and a gift voucher. There was a photographer and she clicked my photo while I was receiving the prize. I have attached that along with the email.
