Write An Email To Your Friend Asking Him ToPostpone His Visit As Father Is Serious ill In English

Subject: Postpone your visit.

Dear Zubair,

How are you ? I am sorry for replying late as I was busy lately.I know it is the worst excuse anyone can give for not keeping up the promise of talking daily. Things have not been working out for me and so I am writing to you to postpone your visit.

My father is seriously ill. He was sick for the last two months but his health issues became serious in the past two weeks. He initially had breathing problems. Later, his breathing became more withdrawn and increasingly short. His chest pain increased. We worriedly called the ambulance.

He refused to be admitted to the hospital earlier but as his condition got worse he gave up. It was a hard decision for us to make in the emotionally distraught moment. My father was struggling for life and I struggled to maintain my sentiments. After a lot of tests and lab imaging, he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure.

Sadly, it is not curable and all we can do is to provide him with the best treatment. He is still not coping well. Doctor said he needs to be under observation for a few more days. They are advising us to have a surgery before the condition worsens.

I was not quite ready for taking on the challenges of my ageing parents. We have to decide how much more we have to put them through. Keep him in your prayer.

Thank you for your time.

Yours truly,
Rayyan G
