Subject: half day leave for Raksha Bandhan
Respected Sir,
As you know, today is Raksha Bandhan and it is a very important ritual in our family. There was a test conducted in the morning classes, so I came to school to attend it. After lunch, I can skip the classes and resume Raksha Bandhan at my home. I am submitting this leave application to let you know my reason to ask for a half day’s leave today. Please do understand the importance of this festival to me personally and let me skip the afternoon classes. I have informed my teachers as well about this and they have no problem with it. My classmates will help me cope with the classes I’ll be missing for the same. I hope my reason will help you consider my request.
