Subject: Leave Application for Neighbour’s Death
Respected Madam,
With deep regret and remorse, this is to bring to your kind attention that unfortunately, my neighbour passed away on 14th December, 2022 due to excessive exertion. He was very close to me and was like a real elder brother to me. He used to take care of me whenever I fell ill and needed support and guidance in life. I used to share everything with him and now, I am all alone. Moving on in life without him would be difficult. His funeral is on 15th December, 2022.
The entire family has decided to organize a prayer service in his memory and remember him with cherished memories, followed by lunch. I want to be with his family on this day to give them strength and to tribute a day in my beloved friend’s memory and spend it the way he would have wanted it to. Thus I hereby request you to grant me a leave on 15th December, 2022. I will complete my targets once I come back to the office. Moreover, I assure you that I shall be present on 16th December, 2022.
