Subject – Application for the request of leave for my mother-in-law’s operation
Sir,
With all due respect and honour, I would like to state that I would like to request a leave for two weeks i.e. 14-10-2022 till 27-10-2022 because my mother-in-law, age 88, has to undergo an operation. My mother-in-law has been suffering from stomach pain for the past few days so we visited a doctor and found that there have been stones in her stomach.
As scheduled by the doctor, we are to have the surgery for my mother-in-law on 15-10-2022 and would be under the doctor’s constant care for two weeks. Concerning this, I would like to take leave for two weeks to care for my mother-in-law. We have no other family support and are currently under a very tight schedule.
I will be back to resume my work by 28-10-2022. I have assigned Miss Ella to take care of the necessary work for the next two weeks. I will put forth as much effort as I have lost during my leave and make up for the lost time.
I, therefore, kindly request you to grant me my leave for which I shall remain forever grateful.
