Subject – Application for leave due to my father death anniversary
Sir,
With all due respect and honour, I would like to state that I would like to request a leave for three days i.e 28th of August to the 31st of August 2022 because of my father’s death anniversary. My family takes death anniversaries to their utmost seriousness. It is our tradition to hold programs. My father took his last breath on the 29th of August 2021 last year at 4 pm. All members are to be gathered together at his grave in our hometown as the family tradition holds. It will take me almost a day to reach my hometown, therefore, I would like to take leave for three days. I have requested Miss Stefani to do the necessary work in my absence and she gladly accepted the request. I will be back on the 1st of September 2022 with no further delay. I will put forth as much as I have lost during my leave and make up for the time lost.
I, therefore, kindly request you to grant me my leave for which I shall remain forever grateful.
