Subject: Application for late coming
Respected Madam,
Most humbly, this is to bring to your kind notice that I, Exa, would like to state that I have arrived late today by an hour to the office. This is because of a very tragic accident that took place near Baker’s street 101 at around 9:00 am. A drunken driver hit a school boy of 10 years old while he was in the footpath.
This caused a big scene and I had to take the little boy to the hospital and make all necessary calls to the parents. The little boy was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). I therefore, kindly request you to accept my leave for which I shall remain ever grateful.
I will be obliged to you for accepting my leave application.
