I hope this letter finds you and your family in the best of health. I am also doing well on this side. I am going to tell you about one of the historical places of our country, Fatehpur Sikri.
India is a diverse country. It has a large number of historical monuments like the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Elephanta Caves, Golden Temple, and many more. I am going to tell you about one such historical place, Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri is located in Agra and was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. It was built for the Sufi saint Sheikh Salim Chishti. Fatehpur Sikri is built around an artificial lake and has many monuments like the Buland Darwaza and a Jama Masjid of their own. Akbar’s love for architecture can be seen through the buildings in the city. It is a beautiful place to visit.
