Subject: Leave application for the exam
Sir,
I, Piyush Pandey working in the Technical Department in the company, wish to inform you that I will be unable to come to the office on July 30th as I am going to New Delhi for an exam.
I had applied for the NET exam and it is scheduled on the date mentioned above. The exam will take place at half-past two in the afternoon but due to the five hours long journey, I cannot manage to attend the office for even half a day. As this is my second attempt at this exam, I wish to excel and not afford any delay.
Therefore, kindly consider my request and sanction me leave. I will be available on the phone after the exam time.
