Good morning one and all. Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends, it is my pleasure and privilege to stand before you today. Today I would like to give a speech about our festival Diwali.
Various festivals are celebrated here with great enthusiasm. Diwali is one of the holy festivals which marks the victory of truth over evil. It marks the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after the exile of 14 years.
It also celebrates the victory of the sixth Sikh guru ”Guru Hargobind Singh” over Jahangir who had imprisoned him. Women of every household make rangolis. People do groceries shopping and clean their houses. Children burn crackers and light candles so that the darkness is nowhere to be found.
Entire India is illuminated with vibrant lights.We should celebrate this holy festival with the feeling of oneness.
