2 Minute Speech On Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav In English

Greetings and very good morning to everyone present. Today on this auspicious day I am going to speak about what is ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ about. The Government of India launched the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate and remember 75 years of progressive independence for India. India commemorated the illustrious history of its people, culture, and accomplishments during Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. It represents everything forward-thinking about India’s sociocultural, political, and economic identity.

On March 12, 2021, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi officially launched the 75-week festival “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” from Sabarmati Ashram to mark the country’s 75th anniversary of independence. This began a 75-week countdown to our country’s 75th Independence Day, which will end one year later on August 15, 2023.

On this day in 2021, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the symbolic Dandi Yatra, which marks the revival of our journey of self-reliance and self-respect with the start of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Mahatma Gandhi began the Dandi Yatra from Sabarmati Ashram on March 12, 1930, for the awakening of the nation’s self-reliance and self-respect.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is dedicated to the Indian people who have not only played a significant role in the country’s long evolutionary journey but also possess the strength and capacity to realise Prime Minister Modi’s vision of enacting India 2.0, which is driven by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Thank you.
