Subject– Why have email pals?
Dear Sameer,
Hello. How are you? I hope this email finds you healthy and happy. By God’s grace I am also well.
You are aware of my penchant for sending and receiving emails. Today, as I share with you a few strong reasons to have email pals, I want to talk more about how writing and receiving letters may have a genuine impact on our wellbeing and mental health. Writing and receiving letters is about connecting with other people. Life is all about connections, in whatever form they take.
People talked about how they had written letters to friends and family over the years, treasured them, and used them to mend and improve connections. Then there were the heartwarming stories of people creating email pals from all over the world, connecting with individuals they would never otherwise meet, and forming friendships.
When you write a letter, it gives you the chance to stop and consider everything you’ve been doing and feeling, and when you read a letter, it enables you to immerse yourself in someone else’s life and hear about their news. It’s a talk in a very leisurely, slow-moving manner.
You will get knowledge of other cultures and traditions by having an email buddy in a distant country. I have many email pals, from Canada, Tunisia and Algeria. Reading their emails gives me an insight into their lives and the lifestyle of their country. It is an enriching experience.
I encourage you to make email pals. Tell me what you think.
Yours lovingly,
Natasha
