Subject: Explaining What Happened
Dear Rima,
Take my love and affection. I hope you are hale and hearty by the grace of God. I�m also well by his blessings. In your last letter you had asked me to explain what happened with me last week since I did not respond to your email as usual. So today, I want to tell you all about what happened last week. I am very sad to inform you that I actually injured myself last week.
While coming back from college last Wednesday I tripped on a brick that had been carelessly left in the middle of the road. This caused me to sprain my ankle very badly. I went home and applied an ice pack on the injury but it continued to swell. After a while it became very difficult for me to walk properly, and I was eventually forced to take a painkiller to control the pain.
Since then I have been rendered pretty invalid, and could not even walk to my computer to write to you. Thankfully, due to proper rest and medication my pain has subsided a lot and the injury is improving. I think I will be alright soon. Until then I have to use an anklet for support and walk very carefully since it causes me enormous pain. Thank you for worrying about me, and do tell me how you are doing as well!
