Subject– My little garden.
Dear Farhan,
Hello. How are you? I hope this email finds you healthy and happy. I was very happy to read your last email, you asked me what my hobby is. My favourite thing in the world to do is gardening. When the lockdown happened and I was bound within the constraints of my house, I would get very bored. With nothing to do and no outsiders allowed, all the chores were shared by the family members.
I got the responsibility of taking care of the lawn. In the beginning it was just mowing the lawn and removing weeds but then I happened to come across a small video of a woman growing tomatoes in her backyard. This inspired me and thus began my venture to grow a small garden. Initially I started with a few seeds of roses, coriander and mint. The saplings turned out very well and bloomed into beautiful plants.
Of course I took help from dad, he has an excellent green thumb but because of his job he never really got the time to grow. In the lockdown we bonded very well over gardening and he taught me how to nurture the plants. With the success of our first attempt, we got more encouragement and planted more seeds and saplings. Today we have a full fledged garden with vibrant flowers and organic vegetables.
I have grown red and white roses, tomatoes, mint, neem, watermelon, coriander, chillies and carrots. You should see our backyard, it looks surreal and I feel so proud that my hard work paid off so very beautifully. Just last week I planted a mango seed and I take great care of it.I hope it grows into a strong tree. Gardening has taught me patience. It has taught me to persevere and keep going no matter how rough the storm is.
You are always welcome to visit my garden, I would live to show you around.
Much love,
