Subject: To lend me a book.

Dear Ashar,

It’s been a long since your last visit, so I thought I should write to you to see how everything is. How are you doing? Hope your annual examination went well.

I am writing this email to ask you to lend me a book. As you know, after the final examination we have much free time at our disposal. I am preparing for the AMU entrance examination. I know that you have very good books as a guide to crack competitive exams.

I am glad to inform you that I have secured good marks in the preparatory test; however, my score in maths is not very remarkable. My teacher recommended to me “the conceptum” to use as a guide. I remember you were preparing from the same book. The book will help me to clear the concepts and be ready for any tricky questions.

If possible, I would appreciate having the book at the earliest. I will return it after my examination. Convey my good wishes to your mother and father. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
