Subject – Application for leave for sister in law’s death
Sir,
With all due respect and honour, I would like to state that my sister-in-law who has been suffering from a tumour for the past 3 years was laid to rest on the 6th of April 2022 at 3:38 pm in global hospital, Karnataka.
I would like to request leave for a week i.e. 6th of April 2022 till the 13th of April 2022 to go to my hometown for the burial, help out with the necessity, and be there with my brother and his family to heal emotionally and mentally from the tragic loss of his wife who is my sister-in-law.
As difficult as it is to swallow the fact that he is no longer here with us, we are glad knowing that her soul is now at peace after the struggles that he went through. We are trying to be as positive as we can because it was my sister-in-law’s dying wish for us to take life as positively as we can and be brave in times of her death as it came closer. My sister-in-law and my brother got married just last year and have just one child.
My siblings and parents want to be there for the family and to support them as much as we can on our part. I will be back to resume my work on the 14th of November 2022. I will put forth as much effort as I have lost during my leave and make up for the lost time. I have requested Sir James to do the necessary work for the upcoming project for next month and he happily accepted to do so.
I, therefore, kindly request you to grant me my leave for which I shall remain ever grateful.
