I hope this letter finds you in the best of health. I am also doing well on this side. As I was reading yesterday, I came across a very interesting topic. I am going to tell you about the voyage of Ferdinand Magellan in this letter.
Ferdinand Magellan was an explorer of Portuguese origin. He used to sail under Portuguese as well as Spanish banners. He went on a voyage to discover a Western route to the Moluccas. He took five ships with him. He sailed to South America and eventually into the Pacific ocean.
It is known that Magellan was killed in the Philippines. One ship left from his fleet returned to Spain. This marked the first voyage that successfully circumnavigated the earth. Unfortunately, the leader of the expedition, i.e. Magellan was unable to complete the voyage.
