Stanza I

ย

Oh! Defenders of borders
Yet are great sons of my land
When we are all asleep
You still hold on to your deed.
Windy season or snowy days
Or scorching sun's sweltering rays
You are there guarding all the time awake
Treading the lonely expanses as Yogis.

The soldiers are the defenders of the borders. They play an extremely crucial role in national security. The poet calls them the great sons of India. When the entire country is asleep, these brave men sacrifice their sleep to guard the borders making sure everyone else has sweet dreams. Whether its storming or scorching, the adverse conditions do not hold them back from fulfilling their duty to the nation. They are always on guard and alert. The poet compares them to Yogis.

Stanza II

Climbing the heights or striding the valleys
Defending the desert guarding the marshes
Surveillance in seas and by securing the air
Prime of your youth given to the nation!!
Wind chimes of my land vibrate your feat
We pray for you brave men!!
May the Lord bless you all!!

They are neither fazed by heights nor depths. They have eyes everywhere, on land, air as well as sea. They boldly defend their country from everywhere. These soldiers are young men, they have devoted their youth for such a noble duty. Knowing they are constantly in the face of danger they still devoted their prime age to the nation.
