- He was the first professor of Mathematics at Queen’s College in Ireland.
- Interestingly, Boole was largely self-taught.
- He helped establish modern symbolic logic.
- He also created Boolean algebra.
- This idea is the basis for computers.
- In 1844, Boole was awarded the Royal Medal.
- He died on 8th December 1864.
