The official “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” journey began on March 12, 2021, in Sabarmati Ashram under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
He launched a 75-week event to mark the country of India’s 75th anniversary of independence.
This began a 75-week countdown to our country’s 75th Independence Day, which will end one year later on August 15, 2023.
On this day in 2021, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi began the symbolic Dandi Yatra, which marks the revival of our journey of self-reliance and self-respect with the start of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Mahatma Gandhi began the Dandi Yatra from Sabarmati Ashram on March 12, 1930, for the awakening of the nation’s self-reliance and self-respect.
Azad Ka Amrit Mahotsav is dedicated to the Indian people who have not only played a significant role in the country’s long evolutionary journey
