Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll e giving a small speech on the topic ‘farmers’.
“Once in your life, you need a doctor, a lawyer, a policeman, and a preacher, but every day, three times a day, you need a farmer.”
This is a statement that holds much truth in it. Unless a farmer gets his hands dirty in the mud, we will never be able to get our hands on food.
It is so easy to neglect farmers nowadays. When we think about food, all we think about are supermarkets and grocery shops where they are easily available. However, it is not as simple.
A farmer has to work hard tirelessly all year. He has to sow the seeds of various crops, toil in the fields all day for a year, make sure the crops are adequately watered, and protect them from insects by spraying pesticides and insecticides.
A farmers life is a difficult one, one filled with debts, loan sharks and other difficulties. Let’s cherish them for their hard work!
